If they bust through both sides I can fall back into my crafting base, but it’s never been close. Works better with the autoshotgun or m60, but I don’t have either yet. I can now melee (steel knuckles with beer) until things get a bit hairy I’ll pull out the shotgun. The key is they are protected by 2 concrete blocks, but I leave a small opening facing me so I can keep them repaired. There are 2 sets of e-fences set in series. When one side falls, I open/close each set to switch sides.Īt the attack point is 1x2 open block that they try to crawl through. Leading up to each attack point is a set of double doors set in the floor. The right and left side of the T are my attack points. I play survivalist/32 zeds and my technique is very simple:Īttached to my crafting base is a T shaped bridge. To use in solo play, only use one set if 3 ladders, not the two opposing sets Oh and our Dr.Robotnic has 2 robot sledges at top of ladders too. Top of structure has 2 SMG turrets on each side. Each entry to the ladders have 2 shotgun turrets.

Aka.it doesnt explode early )Įxternally we have 9 turrets.

(The ladders being 3 apart means that in the middle, no zombie is higher than base level. Theres a hatch dead center that allows them to launch frag rockets straight down to the very bottom. My ranged guys stand up there and shoot straight down. There is a second level with trellises as the floor (bars are.eh). They get on ladder.you give them a shotgun AP slug at point blank. When knocked down.they fall to the bottom.ĭemos and cops are no problem. Key here is whatever weapon is used to have weighted head mod. The zombies come up and get zapped in the face with electric fences which hold their head prime for a BONK. Then there are 2 sets of 3 ladders up (8 blocks height) which mirror eachother on opposite sides.

Note that this is a group design, I'll mention how to mod to solo.ĭonut tower (hollow at center) with two 3wide entry points on opposing sides. What does my group use.none of those designs. As I progress through the game, I can crate more choke points and add traps to slow them up even more.Ĭheck out jawoodle and nerds &steel on YouTube. This is easy to do in the early game at it requires little in the way of resources, and I can limit their path easiest by destroying blocks rather than than having to make more. Ideally, I should have a clear line of sight so I can always shoot them but they can't reach me. Once they're in, I make sure they only have one set of stairs to climb, and only one narrow path to reach me (ideally by destroying blocks in a way that prevents them reaching walls they can bash down,) and put multiple door with shooting bars beside them against this path to slow them down. I make a shooting platform above this door so I can shoot down at zombies, but I plan for them to eventually get in. First order of business was to get rid of all exterior doors except for one, and reinforce all the exterior walls to discourage zombies from making their own way in. This run, I'm set up in the rooster fighting bar poi, but I tend to pick similar ones. My preference is to set up shop in 2-story PoIs with a large open lobby design. So I intentionally design my base around giving zombies a path to get to me, I just make that path as time consuming as possible so I have ample time time to shoot them. If zombies cannot get to you, they will freak out and just start smacking walls and destroying your base and might get themselves into areas where you cannot easily shoot them.
